The coastal altimetry community that is the international community of scientists working on development and applications of altimetry in the coastal zone, is meeting on the shores of Lake Garda, in Northern Italy, on 20-21 September 2012 for the 6th Workshop of the successful Coastal Altimetry series.
Like previous workshops this will provide a lively forum for a community-led review of the science and applications of coastal altimetry, from data processing through emerging applications to new technologies. It will also represent the opening act to an exceptional series of events in the world of satellite altimetry, culminating the following week (24-29 September) in the 20 Years of Progress in Radar Altimetry Symposium and the Ocean Surface Topography Science Team (OST-ST) meeting. These will be held in Venice, which is very close to Garda Lake, so that delegates can conveniently attend all events.
