A real-time modelling system for the Syr Darya River Basin has been developed. The real-time modelling chain is run once per day up to real time minus 2 days. The
modelling system prepares input time series from
3B42RT
precipitation datasets and
ECMWF
temperature datasets. Subsequently an Ensemble Kalman Filter based assimilation run is performed using radar altimetry measurements of water level elevations from the
Envisat
mission over the seven major reservoirs and lakes of the system. Please click on the reservoirs to see the results of the real-time model.
